Joining the Missouri Valley Conference in 2012 and demolishing their existing Coughlin–Alumni Stadium in 2015 and Constructing the new Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium in time for the 2016 football season, South Dakota State University took little time utilizing their fields and its advantages. Mid-America Completed the new Astroturf 3D52-Xtreme Premium turf system that includes two end zone checkerboard patterns and a 30′ jackrabbit logo in the middle of the field in under one month. This new field has helped SDSU develop a 6-1 home record and their first Missouri Valley Conference Title and an 8th seed in the FCS Playoffs. The Field also held a second-round Football Championship Subdivision playoff game where SDSU lost to North Dakota St. 10-36.
